New Year's Hat
I decided I wanted to make a New Year's project and my search began.I found a few different New Year's top hat ideas and so I thought that would be really cute. My neice Bobbi, my sister Chey, and I made some and this is how they turned out. My hat is the black and purple one in the middle. My neice Bobbi made the one with the four leaf clover, we all need a little luck sometimes.My big sis made the blue and white one on the right. We used sheets of foam to make the top hat and just embellished as we wanted.I really love how they turned out. I can not wait until I get a camera so I can make videos.I would really love to show how I make my projects. Well, I guess one thing at a time,right! Well, atleast we had a good time making them. Thanks for stopping by and checking out my projects. HAPPY NEW YEAR'S TO ALL!!!!

Teacher gifts I made for the kiddos' teachers
So this year I decided to get creative and make the Christmas gifts for my kiddos' teachers.I made the gift bags out of the school news paper, some match book notepads for their purse or whatever, and a little set of 8 mini cards inside of a playing card box that I put together.
Recipe:
* For the cards and the match book pads I used a Recollections hand punch
* Not too sure of the card stock
* Random ribbon I had just laying around
* Michaels $1 stamp sentiments ( "Just a little note")
* Pattern for playing card box I found at www.ruthannzaroff.com/mirkwooddesigns/
Card:
* Cut 3 1/2 x 5
* Scored at 2 1/2
Match book:
* Cut 7 x 3
* Scored at 2 3/4, 3,and 6
* Paper inside match books cut 3 x 3 (about 12 or more, make sure you can staple)
Playing card box:
* Cut from pattern
* Decorated the same as the cards inside
Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.I had fun makng them and had quiet time to myself. I thinks that is why I love crafting sooooooo much, because i get to relax and the Hubby keeps the kiddos away!!!Oh, I almost forgot to mention that I also added a mini pen to the set that is matching colors.
